Great question! Frederick, Maryland is located about an hour northwest of Washington DC. All three of the local airports are about an hour drive from Frederick. The airports are: - Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI): in Baltimore. This is a large airport and usually has more flight selection. You can also rent a car easily from here. - Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA): in Washington DC. This airport is located in DC and best if you want to spend time in DC either before or after the wedding. It is metro accessible and Ubers are easy to get from here. - Dulles International Airport (IAD): in Virginia. This airport is technically the closest to Frederick, but just by a few miles. It is located in Northern Virginia. *a note to consider: traffic in the DC area is always something to consider in your travel time. If you plan to rent a car, be sure that there is an EZPass included you will need this for your drive to Frederick.
We have linked our room blocks at the Courtyard Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn in the Travel section of the website. There are also a few other hotels in the area, as well as, Airbnb and VRBO options. If possible, it is encouraged that you book early. Frederick is a very popular wedding area and we have been told that the rooms book up quickly.
We are so excited to celebrate with our friends and family! All invited guests will be listed on your invitation. Unless addressed on your invitation we ask that you do not bring a guest. We appreciate and love you for your understanding.
