FAQs

I hope that the information below answers any and all questions that you may have. However, if you still have any questions, please email the bride at hdent23@gmail.com.
Question

When should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The doors are open at 4:00PM, and the ceremony begins at 4:30PM. We recommend that you arrive approximately 15 minutes before the ceremony, so that you can get settled and find the perfect seat.

Question

Do you have a room block at the hotel?

Answer

YES! If you are coming in from out of town or simply want a room for the night, we have a room black at Hotel Blackhawk so that you can receive discounted rates on your stay. The link for this is on the "Travel" tab of this website or you can simply call the hotel and tell them you are with the Denton-Jarrin wedding!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our "dress code" is semi-formal, which is similar to cocktail attire. Many attendees will most likely wear button-down shirts, dress pants, jumpsuits, tea dresses, or knee-length dresses. No matter what you wear though, we will just be happy to see you here!

Question

How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?

Answer

You can either RSVP on this website on the tab that says "RSVP" or fill out the RSVP card that was sent along with your invitation. We ask that you respond in either of these ways as we need to verify your dinner order for the evening. Please RSVP no later than May 15th

Question

Will the events of the day take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All scheduled events will be indoors and all in the same location. June in Iowa can be HOT, and we did not want to have to fight the weather :) That said, Downtown Davenport is a great walking area, and we recommend a walk by the river during your visit, weather permitting, especially if you are coming from out of town.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

For those coming from I-80 (Indiana and Chicago guests), take I-80 for a really, really long time to exit 5A toward Moline to merge onto I-74. Then, when you cross into Iowa, take exit 4 Grant St/State St. and turn left. Continue on for 3.5 miles until you see Brady St. where you will take a right turn. After a block and a half, turn right onto 3rd st. and the hotel will be on your left side.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is available outside the hotel, but you will have to grab a ticket voucher for parking as you enter into the lot. There's no charge as long as you are there for the wedding! They will validate your parking when you enter the hotel.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open wine and beer bar with a small selection of mixed drinks for our guests. If you have a specialty drink, though, we are not able to accommodate all requests, but you are welcome to order it on your own from the bar.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not take pictures during the ceremony as it could interfere with our photographer's shot. We promise that you will be able to see the incredible photos that she takes of the ceremony and are more than happy to send you copies if you would like to have your own photo.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

All members of your family that are invited are designated on the envelope invitation. It will also appear when you RSVP on this website. However, if you are unsure or have any questions/concerns, please reach out to either the bride or the groom!
