Why are Haley and Kyle having this style of reception?
Answer
Since most of our family lives in Minnesota (Haley) or Missouri (Kyle), we were very torn about where to hold the wedding so everyone would be able to make it. We both have loved ones who would not be able to attend a wedding if it was held 9+ hours away. Therefore, we decided to have two more casual receptions in order to celebrate with everyone!

When does the reception start and end?
Answer
We are having an open house event from 1 pm-5ish on June 24th. You can stay as long or short as you would like! We know Saturdays in the summer are busy and many families have multiple commitments with sports, grad parties, etc. This is an open house event so you can arrive at any time.

Do I need to RSVP?
Answer
Since this is an open house event, there is no need to RSVP!

What to wear?
Answer
There isn’t a set dress code. The bridal party will be in traditional wedding attire (dresses and suits). However, we encourage our guests to wear anything they want, including casual clothes or normal summer wedding attire.

Will there be a ceremony?
Answer
There will not be a ceremony during this celebration. Haley and Kyle will be getting married earlier in June, in an intimate ceremony with just parents and siblings present.

What should guests expect for the celebration?
Answer
This event will be outdoors in Julie and Hugh's backyard. We will have music, games, food, and drinks. And most importantly, family and friends!

Will there be food?
Answer
Yes! A local company will be catering. We are still working on food options, so check back later for more details. Please email kenziecarlson@gmail.com if you have certain dietary restrictions or requests.

Answer
Yes, we are planning to have plenty of beer, wine, and seltzer. There will also be standard non-alcoholic beverages.

What if it rains?
Answer
We have rented a tent, so if it rains, the party will go on! If there is severe weather, the party will go on in Julie and Hugh's house.
