This area is great for some hikes and relaxing day drives, with good places to get some food and browse around. We highly suggest you spend a little time researching the area. Some little tips and tricks are below, as well as some other exciting ventures.
There are multiple amazing hiking trails around. So many that it's difficult to put all of them on here. We highly recommend downloading the app All Trails to your phone to find the one that best suits you and your family. You can also look up these trails online or buy trail maps in certain outdoor stores. We also highly recommend getting a Discover Pass ahead of time, as a lot of these trailheads and parks require one. Click 'View' to find the link to buy one. A one day pass is $11.50. An annual pass is $35.
You can try to visit at this time of year, but it could be too early to see the Lavender- which comes at around the end of June. However they should have some wildflowers, and the store will be open. This short drive should still be just as beautiful, as the Apple Orchards should be in bloom and there are a few antique shops in the small towns around the farm. This area is a beautiful place to take a day to drive around. Koty and I went once on a beautiful day in July, taking roads to small towns with great food, a small museum, and a short hike to some falls later in the day.
