I first met Julian through my best friend, Ally Frady. Me and Ally became friends senior year of high school, and our friendship blossomed. I began to come to her family events, and that is when I first met Julian. He was always the shy cousin who would just say "Hi Haley" and "Bye Haley." I always thought he was sweet and cute but I never thought it would evolve to what we have today. That was until Thanksgiving of 2020 when he showed up to my families Thanksgiving dinner, thanks to Ally, and we hit it off. That night, my Grammy said "You've got a keeper" and I kind of just laughed it off. Little did I know she was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
After dating for almost 3 years, I began looking forward to the next steps...an engagement. I had pictured what I wanted and hoped it would be a surprise. This surprise came on July 2nd. I knew something special was happening, and it took all I had not to get my hopes up but Julian had planned a surprise date for us where we went to a nice restaurant, rode scooters downtown, an then went to our picture spot where we took our first photo together, so you can imagine what I was thinking at all these places...."is he going to propose here?" Update: He did not, so I figured it just was not the right time, and we drove home. I walked through the front door and it was everything I had ever imagined and more. I began to cry and walked to meet Julian where he got on one knee. That day was the happiest day of my life because I knew I was getting to marry my best friend. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with y'all. See you in Thomasville!
