One day I received a text from my longtime friend Audrey that said "OMG you need to date my cousin!" I laughed it off because I didn't think she was serious and I wasn't looking for a relationship at that time. But before I could even respond she was telling me all about him and even gave him my number. So the curiosity set in and I decided to look him up on Facebook. Lets just say I'm so glad I did!

We decided to spend our 3 year anniversary at Sunset Beach, NC. On a secluded stretch of the beach there is a hidden mailbox in the sand dunes called "Kindred Spirits" where locals and tourists write letters and wishes. One evening we decided to make the hike and find this sercret mailbox. As we approached, the sun was setting beautifully behind the sand dunes. I immediately opened the mailbox and started reading what people had wrote. The next thing I remember is Josh getting down on one knee. It took me a minute to comprehend because if you know Josh he loves to joke around all the time so I thought this was another joke of his! He looked up at me and said "this is for real, will you marry me?"
