Do I have to stay at Finest Resort?

Answer

Per Resort Policy: yes, all wedding guests must stay at the resort.

What are the room rates?

Answer

There's been some confusion, but the "double occupancy" row means that if two people stay in one room, EACH person staying in that room pays the listed price. When should I book my room?

Answer

We recommend booking as soon as possible! Please reserve your room with our promocode and book directly through the Finest's website. Finest Playa Mujeres is one of the most popular resorts in the area and fills up very fast, often several months in advance. For more information regarding booking, please check the "Travel" tab on our website.

Question

When should I arrive to the resort?

Answer

Your reservation must be at least 3 nights long and you must check-in by 11/15/2024 (our wedding is 11/16/2024). Feel free, however, to make a personal vacation out of this trip and stay longer if you are able! Isaac and Haley will be at the Finest resort from 11/13 to 11/20. We welcome you to extend your vacation and spend as many days as you can in the Mexico sun with us! ☀️

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal cocktail. We understand we will be in Mexico and it will likely be hot so short dresses and men's guayabera shirts are welcome.

What is included with my stay?

Answer

Just about everything! The price is "all-inclusive" and therefore, includes your food and beverages for the stay - dangerous, we know! 😂🤪 There are 12 restaurants on-site, one coffee/dessert bar, 15 bars/lounges, and room service. Most activities are included as well- live music and shows, gym, paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling - just to name a few! Please note: spa treatments and motorized water sports (ex. jet skis and boating) are not included. There is a free mobile app - "The Excellence Collection" which includes all restaurant hours/menus, spa services, and a daily activity schedule for you to easily decide how you would like to spend your time during your vacation! We used this app when we visited Finest and another Excellence resort in the past and we highly recommend it!

What is the tipping culture? Do I need to get pesos for my trip?

Answer

Tips are greatly appreciated by staff and from our experience speaking with the resort staff at a prior stay, the Finest staff prefer American/USD currency. Therefore, it is not necessary to get pesos before your trip. Of course, it is up to your discretion of how much and when you tip but we recommend bringing USD cash on your vacation. Additionally, if you plan to do off-resort activities, such as renting a jet ski through a third party (not through the resort), they typically take USD cash as their preferred form of payment as well.

What is the difference between Finest and Excellence Club rooms?

Answer

The Finest Club for all ages and Excellence Club for adults offer access to members-only lounges and beach areas. Two restaurants at the resort are reserved for Finest/Excellence club members only, one of which is an adults-only restaurant. The only difference between the two club levels is that Finest Club rooms are located in buildings 4 and 5 and ALLOWS children. Excellence Club rooms are located in building 6 and are ADULTS ONLY.
