Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate this special day with our closest friends and family. Due to space constraints, only those formally listed on the invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love all the children in our life so much, but we will not be able to accommodate them on our wedding day. Please keep them at home and take this opportunity to enjoy an adults-only day :) Thank you for planning accordingly!

Where will the ceremony and reception be taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be held at The Midnight Gem in Swisher, IA on April 25, 2026 beginning at 4 PM. The exact address is: 2613 Ders Dr NW, Swisher, IA 52338. Please try to arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure the ceremony can start on schedule.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want all of our guest to be as comfortable as possible while dressing up for the night, so we can tear up the dance floor! Suggested attire: garden party style, cocktail style.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Spending the day with the people we love is the best gift of all! If you would like to gift us a physical item, we have a registry through Zola. There is no cash fund option on the registry itself, however cards will be accepted on the wedding day if you so choose. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you all so much in advance!

How should I get to/from the venue?

Answer

Safety is our priority for this question! If you choose to drink: please do NOT drive! Each of the hotels on our "Travel" page of the website offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from The Midnight Gem with a booked room. There is also an on-site parking lot that guests can leave their car at overnight until 10 AM the next morning. Please also consider using Uber, Lyft, etc. if none of the prior options are available for you.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

As long as the weather corporates, the ceremony will be held under a covered space outside. The cocktail hour will be held outdoor in the courtyard. The reception will be held inside in the event hall. If the weather turns against us, we have the option to move anything inside.
