We will be outdoors for all events. The weather in Sayulita in January is 75-80 degrees in the day and may get into the low 60s at night. Wedding Dress Code: Festive Formal We want you dressed to impress, and feeling yourself. Think long dresses, earthy to rich tones, striking prints. Lean into color, textures, and accessories. Outdress us! We know our group has style, but if you need inspo check out this Pinterest board: https://pin.it/oiYCq5iZm Welcome Party Dress Code: Tropical Cocktail We don't want anybody to feel overwhelmed or unsure. If you have questions, ask! We'd love to consult. And if dressing up isn’t your thing, wear something you’ll feel comfortable in. Skip the tux and stillettos, come to stun.
You'll fly into Puerto Vallerta (PVR). Sayulita is about 40 minutes from PV and you can get there by taxi, Uber, or prearranged transport. See our 'Getting There' page for more details.
No. All you need is your passport. US, UK, Australian, Peruvian, Canadian, Swedish, Irish, and German citizens can enter Mexico without a visa and that covers our guest list.
Yes! See our "Getting There" section
Absolutely! Sayulita has amazing Airbnb/VRBO options. Our favorite stays in Sayulita have been in Airbnbs, and we find this to be an amazing way to experience the town.
No. Sayulita is a super small town and navigating it in a car is difficult. We recommend using a taxi/Uber/prebooked van to get to Sayulita, and renting a golf cart once you're there. Golf carts can be rented through hotels, many Airbnbs, or through one of the shops around town (you'll see them!). If you are staying towards the center of town, you probably do not even need a golf cart at all.
It should be (fingers crossed) perfect! You can expect 75 to low 80s in the day, cooling off at night to low 60s at the coldest.
Simple answer: No. Sayulita is a small surf town, with small surf infrastructure. Some hotels and Airbnbs install potable water filters, but we recommend sticking to bottled water for all drinking and teeth brushing.
Mexico uses the Mexican peso. Most business accept credit cards, but we've found in Sayulita it's best to have some cash with you for leaving tips, buying small meals, and souvenir shopping. There are multiple ATMs around the main square that allow you to take out pesos. Visiting your bank at home prior to traveling is another good option.
Cell service is just gonna depend on your service provider, honey. Check before you come! Otherwise, wifi is everywhere. Your hotel or Airbnb will have wifi, as well as most restaurants, coffee shops, and bars.
We will have a welcome party on January 8th, and we would love for you to join us. The wedding is on the 9th and we will have a casual beach hang send off on Sunday, January 10th. We will be staying in Sayulita for the week leading up to the wedding, and a few days after. If you have flexibility, we'd love for you to join us and spend additional days. Sayulita is magical and there is lots to do or not do. You can spend a week with your ass in the sand on the beach too!
We'd love to have an open invite, but we're limited on the number of guests we can accommodate. Unless indicated on your Save the Date, please don't invite an extra guest. If you have any questions, have a chat with us.
We love our friends kids! We really do! However, we are having a child free wedding. We know this is a big ask of our parent friends, so please reach out to us if you plan to bring your kids along for the trip, and we can help coordinate a babysitting service in Sayulita for the night of the wedding, January 9th.
Yes and please. Let us know you're interested and we'll get you a slot.
