Eric and Haley had several mutual friends and ran into each other occasionally within the last couple years. They would message back and forth on social media every once in a while- usually about faith. If you asked Eric, he would say Haley was his “Instagram crush” for the last two years. They had known of each other for years but never truly met until September 24, 2021- Eric’s birthday. Both were separately planning to attend a Christian French concert. When Eric found out, he had asked Haley and her friend Megan to meet up before the concert. Haley brought him a birthday pencil from the school she worked at and thus the flirting began. They immediately connected, there would be fireworks if it was a movie. One day after the concert, they spent the entire day together and continued going on dates for three weeks straight- and then Eric moved across the country to Colorado. They quickly grew close and knew what they had was worth the 1000 miles of distance. By January, Eric was ready to move back and continue to pursue Haley. Their strong faith in God along with their love for each other makes for an exciting, Christ-centered love. They are eager to see what God has planned for them next.

Eric planned a surprise date at Newfields in Indianapolis for Haley. They spent the entire day browsing the museum - rather quickly. Haley kept asking why they were walking so fast past all the art. When 4:00 hit, they walked to the gardens. Eric got down on one knee under the gazebo and pulled out the ring. It was a resounding yes from Haley! Eric’s friend Ian was hiding out in the gardens and captured all of it on camera. They spent the moments together cherishing this next season and photographing the excitement. Afterward, Eric took Haley to his parents house for a surprise engagement party. They felt so blessed and eager for their next season to come while being surrounded by closest friends and family.
