Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal attire. We kindly request guests to wear suits and ties for men, and long or midi formal dresses for women.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 1:30pm to allow time for parking and seating. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00pm.

Will transportation services to and from the ceremony be provided?

Answer

We're delighted to make transportation simple for our out-of-town guests. Complimentary Uber vouchers will be provided to help you easily travel between the Sheraton/Le Mèridien hotels and our ceremony venue. Parking is available at both the ceremony and reception locations. Overnight and day-of guests can take advantage of self-parking at the Le Mèridien/Sheraton Hotel. Be sure to get your parking pass validated upon check-in at the front desk. Specific Uber voucher details will be shared with guests soon.

What should we do during the time between the nuptial mass and cocktail hour?

Answer

There are several options that we recommend doing between the mass and cocktail hour (please see the Things to Do section). We recommend grabbing a small bite and drink at Craft City Social Pub, located inside the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel Tower near the outdoor pool for your convenience.

Is the wedding day inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The cocktail hour will be outside on the rooftop of the Sheraton/Le Mèridien Hotel. North Carolina temperatures and weather can be unpredictable, so please plan accordingly. In the event of inclement weather, the cocktail hour will be moved indoors to the foyer of the Carolina Ballroom.

While we love your children, we will not be accommodating children at any of our wedding events. Thank you for understanding!

What should I expect at the Welcome Drinks?

Answer

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is a 15 minute drive from the Le Mèridien/Sheraton hotel. We look forward to celebrating the night before with you at our favorite Charlotte brewery. Be sure to collect your drink tickets upon arrival and find us at the Big Red Outdoor Pavilion. Dress code is brewery casual. Think casual sundresses, jeans, shorts, polos, button-downs, or other comfortable attire.
