Haley first saw a picture of Cooper in the batting cages on the ORU Baseball Instagram. She thought to herself, "who is this new transfer?" She found him on instragram and gave him a follow and he preceeded to follow her back. Cooper then saw Haley in the indoor practice facility and one of his teammates pointed to her and said, "that's your girl." They started having conversation over the phone before eventually meeting at their friends house one night. Haley walked into the house wearing pj shorts and a child of God sweatshirt. Cooper was sitting on the couch when she walked in and leaned over to tell his friend how beautiful he thought she was. After some time they continued to friendzone eachother back and forth, until they could no longer deny the affection they had for each other. They started dating on April 7th, 2024, just a few months later.
Haley and Cooper both graduated together in December of 2025. The summer before graduation Haley had the idea of planning a photoshoot for some graduation pictures. Within about 30 minutes Cooper knew that this was going to be when he would propose. Around four months later everything had been planned out and it was time for the photoshoot. They started the photoshoot at the school and eventually drove over to a beautiful park by the Philbrook Museum. The funny part was on the way over we passed a jewerly store and Haley jokingly said, "We should stop by and get my ring, this would be the perfect time to propose." Little did she know, cooper had the ring in his pocket the entire time. It was right at sunset when Cooper suprised Haley by getting down on one knee. She had no idea. She turned around to tell him not to joke, but saw the ring and quickly realized he was not joking. She said yes and the couple is now happily engaged to be married.
Cooper and I believe that marriage is the purest reflection of Christ's love for His church. We pray that our wedding not only reflects that, but also our marriage. We pray that we can love each other sacrificially everyday of our lives. We pray for stability, intentionality, and for a Godly community surrounding us. We pray that God continues to use us as vessils for His mission, purpose, and plan for us. We pray that we can put God first in everything that we do. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
