Things To Do in Estes Park

The Wedding Website of Haley Botner and Cole Payne
Welcome to our favorite kind of winter wonderland! We're so excited to celebrate with you in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado! Nestled in the Rocky Mountains at 7,500 feet, Estes Park is full of breathtaking views, charming local shops, cozy restaurants, and plenty of winter adventures. Whether you're looking to explore the mountains, enjoy a warm drink by the fire, or simply take in the scenery, we've put together a few of our favorite ways to enjoy your time here.
Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

A must-see while you're in town! Explore snowy trails, take in breathtaking mountain views, and keep an eye out for elk and other wildlife. Bear Lake and Sprague Lake are especially beautiful in winter.

Snowshoeing in the Rockies

Snowshoeing in the Rockies

For our adventurous guests, bundle up and explore the winter trails on snowshoes! It's a beautiful way to experience the mountains. Local outfitters offer equipment rentals, and some provide guided outings (please see website for a great rental shop!). Three great places to go snowshoeing are Sprague Lake, Bear Lake and Dream Lake.

Downtown Estes Park & Riverwalk

Stroll through charming downtown Estes Park, browse local boutiques, pick up a souvenir, and enjoy the peaceful riverwalk. It's the perfect low-key afternoon!

Sledding at Hidden Valley

Sledding at Hidden Valley

We highly recommend that you spend an afternoon sledding! Hidden Valley, located inside Rocky Mountain National Park, is a favorite winter snow-play destination. Bring a sled or rent one in town.

Coffee, Breakfast & Cafes

Coffee, Breakfast & Cafes

We recommend Kind Coffee for a delicious latte, Notchtop Bakery & Café for a hearty breakfast and homemade baked goods, and The Taffy Shop for a classic Estes Park sweet treat. Grab something warm, slow down, and enjoy a cozy mountain morning!

Restaurants & Drinks

Restaurants & Drinks

For a delicious mountain-inspired dinner, try Bird & Jim or Twin Owls Steakhouse. If you're craving something more casual, Smokin' Dave's BBQ & Brew is a great option for barbecue and comfort food. For a locally brewed beer after a day of adventures, stop by Rock Cut Brewing Company!
