Tucked away on the corner of Beryl Rd. and Beryl Rd. (iykyk), this Mediterranean restaurant is a local favorite. Located right next to the JC Raulston Arboretum for a perfect midday outing and lunch combo!

O-Ku

What can we say? We like sushi! Another really nice sushi restaurant downtown that has been a favorite for date nights and a Valentine's Day pick.

The state's largest urban park that is currently in a multi-phase redesign, but already has so much to offer. Enjoy the Gipson Play Plaza (fun for adults and kids alike), stroll through the woods to view the Dambo trolls, have a picnic with the City of Raleigh skyline as your backdrop, or lounge in the hammock grove.

JC Raulston Arboretum

A free entry botanical garden and arboretum owned and managed by NC State University. Right next door to Neomonde Mediterranean - a good midday outing and lunch combo!

North Carolina Museum of Art

A free admission art museum just west of downtown Raleigh. Lovely to walk through and also has a beautiful sculpture park next door if the weather is nice and you're looking for some fresh air! (Certain wings and exhibits do cost extra for entry).

North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences

The largest natural history museum in the Southeast US with several active research labs viewable by the public (including a paleontology lab you can walk through). Free entry and walkability from downtown hotels make this a can't miss attraction! (Certain wings and exhibits do cost extra for entry).
