How We Met

Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp (2015)

We met as RA's at Cal State Long Beach. Cashe was a senior and I was a Junior. We were on the same rounds crew and he got me at "bang, bang, chicken and shrimp" and it has been nothing short of adventurous since then. After college, I moved back home to Sacramento to pursue my teaching career and he stayed in Huntington Beach to continue his. In the five years following, we maintained a steady friendship until I visited him at his home town to seal the deal. We were engaged six months after that and have since purchased our first home together in Tehachapi, CA and adopted a sweet fur baby to join our little family. We love to wine taste together, go to breweries, travel to national parks, and just be together on the couch when we feel like doing nothing. We challenge each other in many ways and ultimately bring out the best in each other. We cannot wait to share this special day of choosing each other in front of all of our friends and family. So, let the adventure begin!

The Proposal

Shut the F**k Up! Are you serious!? (2021)

Cashe took me for a Valentine's weekend getaway to Lake Tahoe, the very place we had our first official getaway as boyfriend and girlfriend. I made him this cute fishing themed Valentine's gift and card and little did I know the surprise he had in store for me. He had me stay in the bathroom while he set up and asked me to come out. I watched the most adorable video made up of a collage of pictures of our time together followed by a personalized cameo from Josh Turner singing "Forever and Ever Amen". Then, he got on his knee and he proposed......with a rubber band. Only I would understand that part- it's an inside joke from college. Finally, he pulled out the ring and popped the question and I spewed profanity because I was in pure shock. At last, I said the one word he couldn't wait to hear, YES! We were looking forward to eating a fancy dinner to celebrate only to realize every restaurant was packed. This lead us to eating a disgusting dinner at Five Guys. It was a night to remember.
