Let’s do this thing

Classmates separated by just three lockers throughout high school, Brad and Haley somehow hardly knew each other existed until a shared math class senior year. Brad showed interest first... and their first date was March 9, 2013. Haley fell asleep in the movie theatre. She soon had to figure out if he was worth spending time around considering they both attended the same week-long spring break trip in Cancun just two short weeks after their first date. Neither of them managed to turn the other off too much and that summer they ran around together in Brad's 1992 Chevy Lumina that Haley's dad affectionately called a “death trap”. While attending separate colleges their relationship wavered and waned for the next couple of years. It was not until June of 2018 that things changed. Brad asked Haley to move to Midland and she said yes! Haley moved out of a house with all her best friends, quit her job, and picked up her life (and Willa’s) in Grand Rapids to move into a tight 700 sq. ft. rental home in Midland in April of 2019. They took a risk on each other and it paid off. By June they had lived two weeks in a camper van together traveling the entirety of Iceland's Ring Road. By October they rescued Evie, their little Kentucky farm stray. The first week of November 2020 Brad finally got the courage to ask Haley to marry him. It was the perfect private proposal with a hand-written letter and the dogs by their side. A week later they bought their first home. And by October 2021, they spent another two weeks together in Europe - this time in London and Paris. Haley recently secured a new job as a Site Manager for LTS overseeing COVID-19 vaccine and testing sites in Mid-Michigan where she continues to make a difference fighting on the front lines of the pandemic. Brad continues to love what he does serving as a Manager of the region's ESPN radio affiliate and announcing games all summer for the local Los Angeles Dodgers minor league baseball team.
