Their story begins with a mutual friend named Colin, who played a pivotal role in bringing them together. Colin, Austin’s best friend and Haley’s classmate from pharmacy school, invited Haley to dinner one evening at a local Mexican restaurant. Little did they know, that casual dinner would mark the start of something special. Austin, who was a little shy at first, had a kind nature that immediately drew Haley in. Without hesitation, she asked for his number, and the rest, as they say, is history. The next day, Austin texted Haley, and his first message was a simple "Howdy." They had an instant connection. It wasn’t long before Haley decided to make the 5-hour drive to visit him at college. While she was attending pharmacy school at Presbyterian College, Austin was studying natural resources at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. After that first visit, they both knew they were inseparable. Despite the distance, they visited each other as often as possible, making every moment count. They supported one another through late-night study sessions, long drives, and all the ups and downs that come with being in a long-distance relationship. They were always committed to supporting each other’s careers. In 2023, they both graduated—Haley with her pharmacy degree and Austin with his natural resources degree. Shortly after, Haley matched for a pharmacy residency in Macon, GA. Austin, never one to be far from her side, obtained a job with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and followed her to Macon, where they began the next chapter of their lives together. Now, they are surrounded by love, memories, and excitement for the future as they prepare to begin this new journey as husband and wife.
