We decided on forever

Skyler and I met in such a weird way. Years before we started dating, around 2013 or so, I get a random message from this Skyler Elliott, that I had no idea who he was, on facebook. He stated that he had saw me out with some mutual friends we had at the time and I seemed like a fun person to hang out with. I never met him, or at least I didn't remember meeting him, so I told him that he could message and snap me, but I wasn't really interested in hanging out.... at first. Sky was persistant, messaging me frequently, even when I didn't message back and left him on "read" lol. Couple of years later, around 2016/2017, he asked if I would like to hang out for a little bit. I figured "why not", so I did. We hung out as friends, watched movies, and just talked on Garin's couch. Didn't hang out with him to much after that for awhile, he would randomly message me, but it was brief and light. Fast forward to 2018, he started his random messages again, and I finally said "my sister and I are wanting to go to HELLLCITY tattoo convention next weekend, would you like to go with us?" He agreed and was super nervous, but we had a great time seeing all the different, famous tattoo artists. Been together every day since.

Skyler planned the perfect proposal that fit us. If you know us well, you know that riding in our RZR is one of our favorite things to do. It was a Saturday of riding with friends, family, and great weather. Us, along with around 7 or 8 other units, going through the trails, and even my brother decided to tag along. We stopped at the "look out" like we always do, to talk and hang out, before we start riding again. The look out is also where Skyler took me to watch fireworks and to meet all his friends for the first time. I was standing with my brother and his girlfriend talking, when Skyler grabbed my hand, and said he wanted me to see something. I went with him, he took me in front of everyone, had a friend of ours start playing "holding her" by Chris Janson, and then he dropped to one knee. He was extremely nervous, but managed to get out "will you marry me?" I then proceeded to start crying, not able to speak, so I just nodded my head in a yes motion as I was holding my face. Since the beginning, I have always told Skyler "If you ever have the idea that you want to marry me, I wouldn't even consider it if you didn't talk to the four main people in my life. My mom, brothers, and my uncle John." After he proposed, he told me that he had a whole speech wrote out, but wasn't able to say it because his nerves were shot. He also told me that he talked to all four people the week prior, because he knew how important it was to me that my family was ok with it as well. Couldn't have asked for better.
