Zach: "We met during the spring semester of our freshman year in 2019 at East Carolina University. At a fraternity/sorority mixer, titled "Greeks vs Grease," I noticed the only girl not in a white toga -instead wearing blue. We were both event sober monitors and immediately hit it off, talking throughout the course of the night. Haleigh: "I had noticed him as soon as I had gotten to the event. After debating for 30 minutes, I eventually walked up and introduced myself! (Not something I would usually do) We ended up talking for hours. I remember thinking how easy it was to speak to him.”

Haleigh: “We waited until the day we both graduated from ECU to make it official. Honestly, I always knew that once we put a label on it, it would be something real and lasting. Being with Zach has never felt complicated—it’s been one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made.”

Zach: "I proposed on March 8th at Falls Lake Park due to how secluded it is. After months of preparation, all the arrangements had been made. Despite Haleigh being in a horrendous mood all morning, I was given the honor of a lifetime when she said yes to marry me." Haleigh: "I was in a lovely mood all morning! We arrived at the park under the ruse of meeting our friends. We were walking up the path when I noticed a photographer a little way off - when I turned, Zach was on one knee."
