Tinder. We met on a dating app, like most people these days. We chatted a bit and realized not too long after that we lived on the same exit in town. Since it was COVID we decided to do our first date as us cooking dinner at his place and hanging out. I went to WalMart to grab my portion of dinner to cook and as I'm walking in I hear my name being called. Weirded out because no one knows me here, I turn to see James on his way out. We laugh because we did not expect to see each other before our date that afternoon. We have our date later and instantly click and realize we have so much in common.
Years of road trips, movie dates, family bowling nights, lots of concerts, Pat's baseball games, supporting and helping each other creatively, a few more tattoo's along the way, and long nights of laughing and being goofy.... Our love has traveled to: - Georgia - Louisiana - North Carolina - New York - Florida - Bahamas - Texas + more in the future!
James and I had been talking about going to try Mama Onesta's, an Italian place downtown Canton, GA. So, James suggested we go before I brought Patrick to my mom for the summer so we can have a nice dress up family meal. I didn't think anything of this because this isn't out of the ordinary for him to suggest. We park downtown and notice our friend Melissa is standing in the gazebo with her photography gear, so we go say hi. She said she is waiting on a client and asks if we wanted our pictures taken since we are all cute and dressed up. (I think nothing of this because she's always doing photoshoots around the area.) We're taking pictures and then James asks Pat to go sit for a second so we can get couple photos and then I see him fidgeting with his pocket. I knew something was up and the next thing I know, he's on one knee proposing...completely surprising me. We then took some more photos with Melissa and then went eat at Mama Onestas for dinner.
