A few of the things we love about the Latin Mass:
Despite a modern concept that everything must be understood immediately, we love that there are always treasures to discover and unfold about the Mass. Whether it is the beauty of something you notice on the altar, painted on the ceilings, or a gesture of those serving the mass; there is always something rich to discover within the liturgy. No gesture or symbol is superfluous.
The use of Latin is particularly beautiful as it sets aside our every day and familiar language for something set aside for God. Even when the words are not understood, the opportunity remains to unite the interior of our hearts with the Sacrifice to God that Christ made on Calvary, just as Mary and John did at the foot of the cross. Here again the priest, in the person of Christ, offers that sacrifice to God at the altar.
We are excited to share with you this great treasure.
