FAQs

Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend that guests fly into Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI). There are many hotels, a few of which are listed in the Travel & Accommodations page, which provide complimentary shuttle service between BWI and the nearby hotels.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a wedding block of rooms at the Sheraton Baltimore Washington Airport Hotel and we recommend staying there. Other hotel recommendations and more information about the wedding block can be found on the Travel & Accommodations page.

Question

Are there activities planned outside of the wedding?

Answer

We will have welcome drinks at the Rumor Reel on October 12 at 7:30 PM EST and all guests are welcome to come and enjoy Chesapeake Bay views and share a drink or two with us to kick off the weekend! In addition, the DC/Maryland/Virginia area provides plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and entertainment. Please see our Things To Do page for some of our favorite recommendations!

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Due to guest number restrictions we are only able to extend the invite to the children of close family. We sincerely hope you understand and will come to enjoy this weekend with us nonetheless. If you have a serious conflict, please do not hesitate to reach out to the bride and groom and we will do everything in our power to accommodate your family.

Question

Will the upcoming presidential election interfere with my travel plans?

Answer

Our wedding venue and preferred hotel accommodations are located approximately one hour from the nation's capital. We do not foresee the upcoming election interfering with travel and accommodations, however, we recommend booking hotels and flights as soon as possible. While we understand our wedding is taking place at an important and impactful time in our country, we sincerely hope our guests will take the opportunity to unplug, relax, and enjoy the company of family and friends.

Question

Can I take pictures and videos with my cell phone at the wedding?

Answer

We are choosing to have an unplugged wedding ceremony and hope you will keep your devices away and silenced during the ceremony to both enjoy and allow our photographers to capture the moment. You are welcome to use your phones at any other point during the wedding to capture as many photos and videos as you'd like!
