Maid of Honor
Maddie and Ashley have been best friends since elementary school, ever since the day they met as kids playing on opposite sides of a creek. Nearly 25 years later, Maddie is still the kindest and most thoughtful person Ashley knows. Maddie has always been there for Ashley, whether she needed a shoulder to lean on or a partner for any adventure that came their way. Maddie’s calming presence, attention to detail, and unwavering support make her the perfect Maid of Honor. Fun fact: Maddie is a pet foster parent.
Jack Seehof
Best Man
Jack and Eric met (along with Calvin) at age 5. In these 28 years, there’s been a lot of gallons of gas burned in ATVs, dirt bikes, jet skis (notably annual trips across Lake Minnetonka on or before the official ice-out date), snowmobiles, and a long cross-country road trip. Fun fact: On camping trips, Jack, the angler, provides all the fish needed for the group to spend the evening fasting.
Reed Rathbun
Man of Honor
Reed and Ashley met in high school on picture day and instantly kicked it off. Since then, they’ve been inseparable. If you see them together, just know they’re probably up to something. Reed is the life of the party with an energy that pulls everyone in, and it’s impossible not to love him. From everyday adventures to traveling all the way to Japan together, Ashley couldn’t imagine this day without him by her side. Fun fact: Reed knows several languages.
Calvin Samborski
Best Man
Calvin and Eric met (along with Jack) at age 5. The two make a point to travel together, nationally with Boston, NYC, Dallas, the Rockies, and various scattered points along the American southwest, and globally starting with Mexico and dipping into France and Brazil. Fun fact: Calvin has summited six fourteeners.
Olivia Hajas
Bridesmaid
Olivia is Ashley’s future sister in law. Ashley first met Liv when she was first introduced to Eric’s family. In just a couple of years, Liv and Ashley have grown close. They say every cool guy has an even cooler sister, which couldn’t be more true. Olivia is funny, creative, smart, and someone who makes it easy to feel right at home. Her warmth and personality make her such a joy to be around, and Ashley feels so lucky to not only be marrying into this family but to have Liv standing by her side on the wedding day. Fun fact: Olivia has been scuba diving for 18 years.
Brenden Smith
Groomsman
Brenden is Ashley’s older brother. Ashley first introduced Brenden and Eric during a “surprise” first meeting at Randy’s Breakfast Diner, joking they might run into him there, only for Brenden to walk in and make it feel like it had been planned all along. In the years since, they’ve shared many memories, including a two-week trip across Japan where Brenden’s height became a running joke as he ducked through door frames. Brenden is tall, funny, and a natural leader, and Ashley has always looked up to him. Fun fact: Brenden is also engaged to be married.
Libby Carlson
Bridesmaid
Libby and Ashley first met in high school and later reconnected while working together at Great Lakes, and Ashley is so glad their paths crossed again. Libby is the kind of friend who is truly up for anything. Whether Ashley needs a shoulder to lean on or a karaoke buddy. Libby is beautifully balanced as a friend: always positive, endlessly supportive, and ready for anything from a quiet night in, to a night out on the town. Her uplifting energy and unwavering presence make her the perfect bridesmaid. Fun fact: Libby is also a gymnast!
Max Berg
Groomsman
Max and Eric grew close on the carpools to and from high school once the two were of driving age. The two share tastes for high and low quality foods, be it east coast sushi or duoing a 50 pack of McNuggets for lunch. Fun fact: He lives in Manchester, England.
Alex Lorenz
Bridesmaid
Alex and Ashley met in kindergarten after boys were chasing Alex on the playground. Alex hit her head on the jungle gym, and Ashley asked if she was okay. Clearly the start to a lifelong friendship. They grew up together and share countless memories, jokes, and even funny little mannerisms. Alex is endlessly patient and completely nonjudgmental. Ashley could tell Alex she robbed a bank and Alex would calmly ask what Ashley planned to do with the money. Alex has a special way about her: equal parts silly and fun while always thinking a few steps ahead. Fun fact: Alex is getting married to the love of her life this October, and Ashley is so grateful to share this season of life together.
Connor Johnson
Groomsman
Eric and Connor spent time together as classmates and sports league teammates and became good friends in middle school. The two bonded over mutual appreciation of professional sports and the deep or trivial conversations that took place while watching. Connor and Eric spent time as roommates. Fun fact: Connor is an Eagle Scout.
Peter Hajas
Officiant
Eric has known Peter for his whole life, and Peter has known Eric for most of his. He’s admired for his humor and good nature. Starting with his cousin, Peter has married several people, and anticipates the day he marries his brother. Fun fact: Peter was a part of the 2025 record-setting boat team aboard the Lady Lor.
