Maybe one day we'll write the whole story, but for now, here are some highlights: At Eastern, Chelsea only knew Ben was the stuck-up roommate of her ex-boyfriend. Ben only knew Chelsea was pretty and from North Carolina. The first time we ever spent time together alone, Ben drove to McDonalds as we listened to Frank Ocean and gushed over how in love we were... with other people (at the time). Having graduated and moved away, we reconnected in the fall of 2015, both in need of a friend to see the new Star Wars movie (The Force Awakens). We fell in love at the Lancaster county fairs, and Longwood Gardens, too many restaurants to count, and the next two Star Wars movies. From 2015 to 2019, we never lived less than a 30 minute drive from each other. Ben went from his parents' house, to an apartment in Devon, Pa, back to his parents, and then to an apartment near Temple for grad school in Philadelphia. Chelsea went from our friends, the Baggley's, to an apartment above the Radnor Family Doctor, to a row home in Conshohocken. So many trains, so many car rides. Often together, but usually not. We taught ourselves to cook on the weekends. We spent two weeks in Bolivia with A Breeze of Hope. We became Aunt and Uncle to two cats, thanks to Steve and Lauren. In May of 2019, we got our first (only) apartment together in Ardmore, PA. Only 10 minutes from that McDonalds. After six months of COVID, Chelsea brought home our first child, Small Fry, a stringy red Beta Fish. We've lived happily together ever since. On Thanksgiving, 2020, still sleepy-eyed, Ben proposed in front of his immediate family. Chelsea said yes. Thank you for reading! We're so excited to celebrate our union with you! Sincerely, Chelsea & Ben
