"Allow me to introduce myself... my name is Isaac Hegamin. I met Shane when I was eight years old playing Little League baseball in Kent. We competed on the same team as well as against each other through high school. Many of my favorite high school memories and questionable decisions were made in "Scott's Playhouse" in the McGuire's backyard. We went our separate ways for collegiate baseball, I stayed in Washington while Shane went to California, but we continued to support each other. It was no coincidence that Shane hit a homerun in his first spring training at bat when I visited. Although I was sad to see Shane move so far away, it was obviously meant to be because we are all about to be getting hammered and shaking ass at their wedding."

Hailey, our Golden Child! From the moment Hailey took her very first breath, we knew she would be someone so special and that the man she would end up with would be just as special. Shane walked into our house for the very first time about 5 years ago and the two of us looked at each other and said "It's over, this is the last boy she is ever bringing home. He is the one". We knew instantly after meeting Shane, watching the way he spoke to our daughter, the way he looked at her, and the way he even spoke about her, that they were in it for the long haul. We are excited for our daughter and our future son!

Growing up we always referred to girls as “dream killers”. It was a cautious/humorous way to teach our boys they needed to keep their focus on their goals and that there was a time in the future when they would just know that they have met that special someone. When he went off to the University of San Diego we knew he was focused on baseball but figured at some point he would meet someone he wanted to date more seriously. He first told us about Hailey and said she just wanted to be friends but he was determined to get her to be more than that. I guess you could say he knew what he wanted and knew what he was doing. Hailey is definitely not a “dream killer” and we couldn’t be more happy for them to become husband and wife. 😊 We are just as excited to blend families with the Freeman’s. ❤️
