Hailey grew up in Maryville, Tennessee, and Trevor just down the road in Lenoir City. Two hometowns separated by a few exits and a few winding backroads. During the 1998 UTK Homecoming football game, as the crowd cheered in Neyland Stadium, Trevor made his entrance into the world, just six months after Hailey. From the start, it seems they were destined to exist in the same orbit. For years, their paths nearly crossed again and again. They had mutual friends, went to the same places, showed up in the same photos’ backgrounds, but somehow, never quite met. It was as if there was an invisible string, quietly waiting for the right moment to pull them together. Eventually, that string found its timing. They connected through mutual friends and started keeping up on social media. Trevor sent Hailey memes..some that made her laugh out loud, and some that made her question his sense of humor entirely. It is similar to a bird sharing resources or doing certain dances. He kept asking her out, and she kept hesitating, not because she wasn’t interested, but because she was a little too nervous to say yes. He was not going to give up that easily! She had this draw and energy that was inescapable. Then came a plot twist straight out of a rom-com. Hailey was headed to New York when she realized she’d lost her ID at the airport. Luckily, Trevor ,who happened to work there, was her knight in shining badge lanyard. He helped her stay calm, told her she’d be fine, and somehow made a travel disaster feel like fate. While she was in New York, they talked the entire time. Between her sightseeing updates and his late-night messages, something started to shift, like that invisible string had finally tugged tight. Before her trip was over, Trevor asked her out one more time. Their first date, specially designed to be on International Women’s Day, was to see the Ice Bears, and somewhere between the laughter and the hockey chaos, they both knew this was it. Since then, their story has been filled with adventures: trips to Japan and France, road trips to Virginia, buying their first house, and a thousand small moments that stitched their lives together. Now, after all those near-misses and perfectly timed twists, they’re choosing forever , and can’t wait to celebrate that choice with you.
