Joyce and I met my very first semester at Sac State and she quickly became one of my closest friends. Joyce is the type of friend that everybody would wish to have. Two of my very first memories of Joyce was when she remembered my name the first time we met at our Chi Alpha Fall Retreat in Santa Cruz and when she made me green juice that she gave to me at ladies small group. These two memories are a perfect example of who Joyce is because she is one of the most caring, welcoming, and intentional people you will ever meet and she makes great food. Joyce and I have gone on so many adventures together; including but not limited to (lol), going overseas on my first missions trip to Cambodia, road trips to many different states, going on camping trips, going on hikes, working out, paddle boarding, leading our very first small group together as students in Chi Alpha, and being roommates. Joyce is the most adventurous and most fun person and I am so grateful for her friendship. I would not be where I am today in life or in my walk with God without Joyce's influence in my life. She has walked with me and encouraged me through so many big moments and I am so grateful to have her by my side during this one as well.

As I'm going to type this I'm literally laughing because our friendship is so full of laughter and joy. Rebecca is that friend that dances in grocery stores with me but also cries with me and goes to war with me in the hardest moments of life. The very first day I met Rebecca, I knew that she was going to have a very significant place in my life. What I didn't know at the time was that we would become self-proclaimed cousins, live together, travel together, and share so many incredible memories. Rebecca is a living example in my life of the bible verse that talks about iron sharpening iron. She is a powerful woman of God who consistently challenges me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. She's probably going to be the next Joyce Meyer or something like that so don't be shocked because I'm telling you now. But like I said at the start she is also HILARIOUS. I'm so grateful for all the times we've laughed together, cried together, rapped to Eminem together, sang along to Fergalicious together, quoted Hot Rod, interpretively danced in the grocery store together, "broke it down" while leading core group together, shared out of context funny bible verses, and so much more. I am so grateful for this friendship and to have Rebecca standing alongside me on my wedding day and in life.

Ashley and I have known each other since I was a sophomore in high school! Not only is she my brother's girlfriend, and wonderful cat mom to Lily, but she is one of the sweetest, most authentic, fun, and creative people you'll meet! Ashley has been someone who has been consistently present in my life for about 10 years now. Without a doubt, she is a part of our family and I am so grateful to have her stand with me on my wedding day. We have so many fun family memories together over the years including, going boating on the lake during summers, hiking to the top of half dome in Yosemite, running the annual wharf to wharf race, eating lots of yummy food, traveling, and so much more. She's been present through so many of my big life moments and I am so grateful that she is here for this one as well. Thank you for always being here for me, encouraging me, and being your sweet, fun self! Love you Ash!

Andrea is the little sister I never had. She has been someone who has constantly been there for me, encouraged me, helped pick me up when I'm down, and has shown me so much love. She is passionate, creative, loving, strong, resilient, a talented artist, and makes the best flower crowns. Andrea and I met during our first year at Sac State (her freshmen year, my junior) when we rode in the same car down to our Chi Alpha Fall Retreat and that was just the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I've had the privilege of living with Andrea for two years, going on many coffee dates together, sharing so many laughs, and I had the honor of witnessing her get married last month. Andrea has faithfully been someone who in the hardest moments, has made me feel seen and spoken life and truth to me and she's also been someone who embraces me for all that I am, silliness, flaws and all. Andrea and her now husband, Roneel, have been family to Surr and I here in Sacramento and we know that they will continue to be family as we step into this next chapter of our lives. I am so grateful to have Andrea standing with me during such an important moment in my life.

I've known Kaci since her freshmen year of college. One of our very first memories with each other was I was driving her back to her dorm after hanging out at a friends house and she fell asleep in the back seat of my car. I almost made it to Sac State when I saw a couple raccoons in the road so I slowed down for them to get out of the way. I continued driving and felt a bump- in that moment Kaci woke up and looked out the back window and exclaimed- you hit a raccoon!! And that was where our friendship began lol. Since then, Kaci and I have gained so many more memories together through living together for the past three years, going on adventures with friends, hosting announcements for online Chi Alpha during Covid, bonding over yummy gluten free finds and our love for the obvious best meal of the day, breakfast, and being gym buddies. Kaci is like a fun little sister who is always willing to listen to and encourage me to live out my dreams and I appreciate that a ton. I'm so grateful for the past 4 years of getting to do life with Kaci and to now have her standing with me on my wedding day.
