LET’S GET MARRIED

Welcome to our wedding website—we’re so glad you’re here! We’re incredibly excited to celebrate this special chapter of our lives with the people we love most. This site has everything you’ll need to join us, from event details and travel info to our story and registry. Thank you for being part of our journey and for the love and support that’s brought us to this moment. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

OUR STORY - THROUGH HAILEY’S EYES

Ryland and I met during a period of our lives when we weren’t ready for each other. We lived three hours apart, hadn’t quite figured out life, and had a little growing up to do. That didn’t stop him though. Ryland would message me every month, on the month, for about two years straight. He’d later tell me it’s because he “just knew.” A couple of failed relationships later, a whole lot of monthly check ins from this annoying boy that kept asking if I was single, and many months in the “friend zone,” and I would eventually take a job in Richmond, which cut our distance down by half, and I finally agreed to go on that date he’d been requesting, adamantly, for the past 24 months. As most of you know, from that moment on, we were attached at the hip. Inseparable. He was driving 2 hours one way to and from work just so we could spend every waking second together. We got engaged just a few months later at my favorite place (a wine festival) with my now Maid of Honor and high school best friend, Raelyn, there to share it with me. When you know you know, and boy did we know. He may have known before I did, but thanks to his persistence, and my utter irresistibility, here we are. And I am so excited to spend my forever with him. We now live in Williamsburg, both commuting to our respective jobs (to which I complain about, and he regularly reminds me about all those months he did four hours of driving), and we are so, so excited for this next chapter as husband and wife.

OUR STORY - THROUGH RYLAND’S EYES

We met on Tinder, which could either lead to a great love story or a questionable decision, and it turns out I found happily ever after. When we finally met in person, it did not feel like meeting for the first time. It felt like hanging out with my best friend. For our first actual date, I took her to a Mexican restaurant I found on Google, and it honestly turned out to be a pretty terrible restaurant that served drinks in tiny bathtubs, which should have been our first red flag of the place, but we stayed anyway and laughed the entire night. Even though I drove down a one way that night, and she honestly should have called it quits right there, we kept going out. And even though after that, seeing each other meant a four hour trip, with a motorcycle and someone worth the ride, it never really bothered me. Somewhere along the way, between all the miles and time together, it turned into something real. What started with a swipe turned into a relationship we would not trade for anything. We are really excited for what is next, and even more excited to celebrate it with all of you.
