We're getting married!

We met in August 2022 while in our last year of graduate school in Memphis, TN. We’d somehow managed to go years without knowing each other existed (despite taking the same class at one point). It all started at one of the most historic locations in Memphis, The Peabody. Each summer they would host a rooftop party, and this particular night just so happened to be the last event of the season. Neither of us really planned to go, but fate (and a little sibling/friend persuasion) stepped in. Who knew they were playing Cupid that night? Riley swears he spotted me the second he walked through the door (and he still stands by that). Then came the boldest move of the night—Riley asking me to dance, seeming totally unfazed by the fact that we’d never actually met. Our first real date? The proceeding Sunday morning breakfast at the iconic Sunrise. A Memphis favorite and the perfect spot to kick off our story. The twist? Riley was moving back to middle Tennessee just a few weeks later for his clinical rotations. We were suddenly long distance, but many trips later—and countless calls and texts, we continued to grow closer. Through every adventure and every trip, we’ve ended up right here—ready to say ‘I do'.
