We first met in October 2023 while playing games with a mutual friend. We both thought the other was cute, but we didn't end up going on a date until March. During our night out together, we realized that we were super compatible. We talked, laughed, flirted, and talked some more. And so it began. We went out several more times during the semester and throughout the summer, but it wasn't until July that we had our first kiss. The more we learned about each other, the more we fell in love, but we wanted to take things slow, so despite spending hours together almost daily, it wasn't until September that we started dating exclusively. When Hailey first met Nathan’s family, she instantly became the center of attention and was proclaimed the new favorite guest. To win over Hailey’s family, Nathan looked for ways to earn brownie points, such as building puzzles and throwing Hailey in the pool fully clothed. As two people who love to plan, we were constantly talking about what we wanted our future lives to look like, and by January 2025, marriage had become a regular topic of conversation for us. As we discussed the idea of getting married in August, one question was frequently asked by our family and friends: "What are you waiting for?" For both of us, a flood of emotions, such as nervousness, inadequacy, and trepidation accompanied that question. The most prominent feeling, however, was excitement. Ultimately, we decided we really were ready, and soon after, we were engaged. Now we're left counting down the days, and May 1 cannot come soon enough! We will be sealed in the Oquirrh Mountain temple and are excited to see what adventures our future together will hold!
