Hailey and Nathan met a few times over the years but never really got to know each other. So, one summer night, Hailey's mom (Sarah) and Nathan's aunt (Rachelle) decided these two would be the perfect pair. Now if you know young people, you know they HATE when family meddles in their love lives. However, Sarah and Rachelle continued sweet talking the two and pushing them towards each other. While Hailey thought Nathan was a great guy, she was hesitant to pursue a relationship since it could get messy with family involvement. She disclosed these feelings to her close friend, Brianna, on a night out. With permission, Brianna took matters into her hand and used Hailey's phone to invite him out to celebrate Hailey's birthday. While Nathan had been busy that night, it sparked a conversation between Hailey and Nathan that grew into a beautiful friendship.

Hailey and Nathan's friendship continued to blossom as they texted and snapped each other daily over the next few weeks. Nathan decided to take a step and invited Hailey to "Beer Olympics." Nathan showed Hailey support throughout the day, even when she drank a little bit too much. While the day wasn't all sunshine and roses, it did reveal the many great qualities they began to see in each other. This led to their first date at Boulder and Tap House. Which led to many more dates watching Disney movies and enjoying each other's company as they got to know each other better.

Nathan and Hailey quickly began to realize that they shared something special as they continued to spend time together. The more they talked, the more they enjoyed each other's company and saw a life together. They officially became boyfriend and girlfriend during this period. While it took them a long time to become friends, they fell for each other right away. While Nathan gives Hailey credit for taking the initiative in the early days of the relationship, he decided to be the first to declare his love for Hailey. Hailey eagerly returned with a, "I love you too." Hailey and Nathan were eager to share the news with their families, but they decided to have a little fun with it. Nathan's uncle was having a birthday get together and the two decided to show up unannounced together. Everybody was beyond excited to see the two pull up together. It was a great way to announce to their parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and more that they were "finally" together. Their families have been such a great and joyful support of the couple since that day.

Nathan purchased a house in November 2023. While Hailey and Nathan had been going strong and steady, they felt like it wasn't the time to move in together quite yet. Hailey encouraged Nathan to settle into his house and make it his own for the time being. A couple months later, they decided to take the next step and move in together. Living together only solidified their love for each other as they truly began building a life together.

They say when you know, you know... and man, did Nathan know. While the "Hailey" ring should have been meant for his gorgeous girlfriend, he knew that it was not the perfect ring to pop the question with. Instead, he picked a gorgeous silver engagement ring on his own, without his Hailey having a clue of what was coming. Nathan was a smart man and let Hailey plan her own proposal gathering. What better time to propose than when their family and friends are already getting together to celebrate Nathan's birthday. Now, if you were to ask Nathan that day, he would say, "mmm, it might happen today." However, he would do it with a smile on his face and a gleam in his eye that would show how excited he was to ask Hailey to be his wife. Luck happened to be on his side as his uncle showed up shouting, "did she say yes?" while Hailey, thankfully, happened to be inside. So, after everybody arrived, Nathan's family told Hailey they needed a picture of those two standing in the front of the house. Nathan eagerly emptied his pockets and met Hailey on the front step as they were about to take the next step in life together. Hailey's mom got in on the fun and gave Hailey a special ornament. The ornament held an inside joke with Nathan's family that he was going to give it to Hailey with a ring inside for Christmas. Hailey remained clueless as they took a picture with the ornament until he was down on one knee asking her to marry him. While her shirt said, "That's a terrible idea... hold my drink," she knew it was the best idea he had ever had. So, hold her drink, because these two love birds are getting their happily ever after!
