WE’RE GETTING MARRIED! 3.0

As you all know, our original wedding date was March 21st, 2020, but due to the novel coronavirus, our wedding was put on lockdown! Then, the venue pulled all weddings with more than 50 guests, so we had to pick a 3rd date and a new venue! We cannot wait to celebrate with you at the Duffy Wedding 3.0; on Sunday, March 28th, 2021. New invites will be postal mailed to you for your convenience and RSVP's will be done online through this wedding website.

Michael and I were having a ‘tourist day’ in Chicago last summer, after his work placement there. We spent the day sightseeing The Bean, Navy Pier, the John Handcock building, the Shedd Aquarium, and many other sites. It happened to be extremely windy that day (of course, in the Windy City), and the waves of Lake Michigan were 8-9 ft tall, pouring over the lakeshore walking peer. Michael is from Arizona, the land (basically) without water. He had never seen waves this big and wanted to check them out. So I said "Sure!" Little did I know that was the day he was going to ask me to marry him. As we were walking down the beach to the pier, Michael looked at me and said, "Do you know how much I love you?" as he always does, and my response is always: "How much?" However, his answer back to me was different this time, he said: “I love you so much that I want you to marry me.” Me, (thinking he was just joking since he always tells me that he’s going to marry me) said: "I know, I know, one day!" Except he looked at me, grabbed my hand, dropped to one knee, said a whole bunch of sappy goodness, along with: "Today is really that day." I was caught off guard, *ugly* cried, and of course, said "YES!"
