The Wedding of Hailey & Kellen
Our Love Story
Hailey and Kellen met in March 2022 after being set up by Tacoma's #1 amateur matchmaker: Kellen's Aunt Kathleen.
You see, Hailey was in her first year teaching 7th & 8th grade English at Saint Pat's. She found a friend in her colleague Kathy Forte, a quick-witted Pre-K teacher. One day after a faculty meeting, Kathy told Hailey, "Give me your phone number. I'm going to set you up with my nephew." (It was more of a command than a request.)
Kellen, working as a civil engineer in Lacey at the time, received a message from his Aunt Kathleen later that day: "Call this girl. Here's the number. You'd be great together."
On Monday, February 28th at 8:47pm Hailey's phone buzzed with the text that would change her life: “Hi Hailey! This is Kellen Miller - also a redhead. My Aunt Kathleen told me you're fun and I should reach out. How's it going? 😂😎”
The following Saturday, the two gingers met up for a cocktail and tater tots at The Spar Tavern in Tacoma, and the rest is history.
