Our first date was at Maiz Mexican Cantina, an Ypsilanti staple. After thinking Hailey was going to stand Kara up.... We spent hours talking over margaritas, chips and salsa and the rest is history.

On our first vacation together to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, Hailey had planned to propose. She was very nervous throughout the whole trip waiting for the perfect moment, and the last day of the trip Hailey was very adamant about doing a hike in the Tetons to hidden falls. As Kara was trying to set her camera up to take selfie in front of the not so hidden falls Hailey pulled out the ring and asked Kara to marry her.
