Our Journey So Far. . .

if you know, you know

We met in February of 22...on Valentine's Day...at a singles mixer I (Hailey) remember seeing Jordan and think, "oh my gosh, that guy is SO cute!!!!" So I went up and introduced myself. I later heard he had a date coming up, so I immediately parted ways from thinking this was going anywhere. I know what you're thinking right now. . .why was he at a singles mixer if he had a date?? And that's a GREAT question. He was there to help out & film...NOT to meet people. And I was there to volunteer...but I was open to meeting someone. Flash forward to August 2022 and I saw him on Instagram. "That's the guy!!" I excitedly thought to myself, and I followed him. (there's a little back & forth and a longer story with this) But we'll just skip to our first coffee date. It was the hottest weekend ever in San Diego, we got coffee and walked to the beach in La Jolla. (I was over 30 minutes late for our first date...yikes!!) Despite that, Jordan spent a lot of time with me walking and talking and looking out at the ocean. As we talked about our hopes and dreams for life, it was CLEAR that God was doing something in his life and in mine. It felt like everything God put in my heart for my life was being echoed back to me. I didn't know if I was going to marry him that day, but I DID know that in front of me was a humble, godly, caring man and he liked me!! It wasn't until our third date that I knew I REALLY liked him & he REALLY liked me too!! He set up a whole charcuterie picnic completed with flowers and wine on the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean. My dream date!!! So he kept asking me on dates and a month later asked me to be his girlfriend. He made us dinner reservations, got us tickets to a rooftop showing of the Notebook & wrote me the sweetest love letter. I thought it was too good to be true. And what I learned about Jordan since then is it wasn't too good to be true, it was actually just a glimpse into our relationship. Everyday with Jordan since has been so healing, so fun and so filled with the Lord. He has led me in love & in fun. He has prayed for me and with me in every tough moment, he has held my hand & has never left my side. He's been my teammate, my best friend, my business partner and my co-laborer in Christ. Our journey to meet each other and to get to the altar hasn't been easy, but it's been so life-giving. As we've gotten to know each other more, we've gotten to know Jesus more. We've learned that two really are better than one. We are excited to continue our journey together as husband and wife. We are expectant for how God is going to show up in and through our marriage together. As we continue to build a life, a business and do ministry together, we are grateful for each moment to spend together. We feel so honored to have so many friends, family and loved ones who have been by our side and supporting us along the way. We are so grateful for you and look forward to celebrate with you at our wedding. All our love, The (almost) Ernsts
