After years of being in wrong relationships and all of the adventures of singlehood, it was finally the right time for our story to begin. Hailey (after adamantly avoiding dating apps) finally decided to embrace dating in the digital age and joined Hinge. She quickly came across Ian's profile and read his response to one of the app-provided prompts. It said: "Dating me is like driving a Volvo... it's reliable, strong, and will get you where you desire to go, but won't turn any heads." Hailey thought, "He's cute and clever." Ian thought, "She's cute." Ian immediately began connecting with Hailey by sending her messages, initiating video calls, and sending voice memos, which eventually lead to a first date. Hailey, being the ever-practical and safe dater, was quick to inform Ian that people knew where she was, that she had shared her location with her sister, and that she had written her Social Security Number on the bottom of her foot just in case Ian tried to kidnap her. (Whether or not she actually had her SS# on her foot is still up for debate.) Fortunately, Ian was (and is) a stand-up guy and dinner turned to a chat under the stars and even led to their first kiss! Date #1 led to date #2 and Ian--not to be outdone by the other men on the dating apps--took both Hailey and her sister Paige to the Shania Twain concert in May 2023. Ian definitely won Hailey over, and--after many chats, adventures, health scares, and even Disneyland--they worked to become the best versions of themselves. The rest, as they say, will be eternity!
