It’s a charming, walkable mile lined with historic brick buildings, local boutiques, cozy cafes, and great restaurants. Hop on the free King Street Trolley for a fun and easy ride from the waterfront to the Metro station, with plenty of stops along the way.
If you're in town on Saturday morning, be sure to check out the Old Town Farmers’ Market in Market Square! Operating since 1753, it’s one of the oldest continuously running farmers' markets in the U.S. The market is open Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., just a short walk from King Street and the waterfront.
Located along the Potomac River, it’s a beautiful spot for a morning walk or a quiet afternoon surrounded by nature. Only just minutes from the heart of Old Town.
If you’re visiting from out of town, we highly recommend taking some time to explore the National Mall in Washington, D.C. It’s home to iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and Smithsonian Museums - many of which are free to visit!
If you're staying local, it's worth the trip to drive down to Solomons Island! Their restaurants are known for their delicious seafood and beautiful views outlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
