Our story began in 2022 at Regent University, long before either of us realized how perfectly God was weaving our lives together. Hailey was a junior, confident and radiant, and Graham was a wide-eyed freshman with a big smile and an even bigger singing voice. Hailey’s first thought was that he was “such a cutie,” and Graham watched Hailey lead on campus thinking, “She’ll be a wonderful wife for someone one day.” Neither imagined that “someone” would be each other. When Friendship Became Something More Everything changed in the summer of 2024. Graham had been praying for months, hoping for the right moment to pursue Hailey. He finally asked her to get coffee — those plans fell through, but a spark had already started in Hailey’s heart. He continued pursuing her with sincerity, asking thoughtful questions that made her feel safe and excited. Eventually her impatience got the best of her and she asked, “So… when are you going to take me to coffee?” They went on their first official date on August 17th and talked for eight hours straight about family, faith, and everything in between. From that day forward, they wanted to see each other every single day. A Love Led by Prayer As they spent more time together, it became clear just how beautifully made for each other they were. Their relationship grew through prayer, Bible studies at Lake James, and long walks filled with laughter. Before they made things official, Hailey left for a ten-day vacation. Those days apart became a time of prayer and reflection, and God gave them both peace to move forward. On September 7, 2024, they became boyfriend and girlfriend — and just twenty-four hours later, they exchanged their first “I love you.” Hailey knew quickly: this was the man of her dreams. What We Love About Each Other Hailey loves Graham’s passion for Jesus, his integrity, his love for his family, and his willingness to do the hard things. She adores his laugh, his geeky excitement, his smile when she surprises him with a gift, and the way he leads the kids they serve at church. Graham loves Hailey’s smile, her silly laughs, and how she cracks herself up over corny jokes. He admires her leadership, her boldness, and the way she fiercely stands up for the people she loves. The Proposal On Hailey’s birthday — October 25, 2025 — Graham planned a day full of meaning. They watched the sunrise at Sandbridge, had breakfast at The Bee & The Biscuit, and picked wildflowers at Greenbrier Farms. Hailey thought maybe this was the moment, but Graham had one last place in mind. He brought her back to the pier where they had their first date. There, they talked about their love story and all the ways God had guided them. Then Graham took her hands and danced with her right there on the pier, not caring who watched. He knelt down and told her he knew without a doubt that she was the woman he wanted to spend forever with. She said yes. And as the perfect finishing touch, Graham surprised her with her whole family, who had traveled from Ohio to celebrate. They ended the night with photos on the beach at sunset — the perfect ending to the perfect day.
