In June of 2025 we ventured out on a huge National Parks roadtrip. We explored Badlands, Yellowstone, and Glacier (with a lot of pitstops and stays in other smaller parks and places along the way). Glacier NP, in particular, had been on Hailey's bucket list for quite some time. Specifically, to see Lake McDonald in all of its colored rock glory! Of course, Dayne, being the amazing human that he is, strategically planned our proposal on the first hike we took on the coast of Lake McDonald. In true Hailey fashion, she complained the entire hike because it was a million degrees and completely up hill (or really, up mountain...) - but the unexpected engagement at the peak of the hike made it all worth it. Needless to say, not a single complaint was uttered on the hike back down ;)
Exactly 365 days before our wedding (and on our anniversary!) we bought our first home! We've loved every moment spent here together, building our little family of fur and feathered babies!
This was the first official National Parks roadtrip we set out on. We spent a long, amazing, weekend here navigating through caves and bickering while trying to set up our tent for the first time.
After having only known each other for 3 months (insane...we know...) we took off on a week long road trip visiting Nashville TN, Atlanta GA, Gatlinburg TN, and Louisville KY. We stayed in tiny homes along the way - which, needless to say, those cramped spaces forced us to get very comfortable with each other very fast! The Georgia Aquarium was a highlight of our trip - we particularly enjoyed the penguins and whale shark!
From the very beginning, camping has been one of our favorite things to do together. We've made countless memories here - cooking delicious meals, boating, playing board games, and even celebrating birthdays and holidays with family. When we first started dating, we had no idea that the time spent in our fifth wheel in Morris would lead us to a lifetime of adventure - camping and traveling to places all across the country.
As a tradition, we come here to celebrate our anniversary every year. Although reserved for special occasions only - this is one of our absolute favorite restaurants. If you haven't tried this spot - go immediately. Some of our menu favorites are the garlic potato salad and the paella!
A weekend trip turned into a future goal - if all goes to plan, this is where we will retire someday!
We went here on our first date. The food was terrible (don't order the pasta...) - but, clearly, the date went well - look at us now!!
