We're getting married!

It was completely unexpected. On a random Friday, July 10, 2026, my mom asked if I wanted to go with her to Walmart in Odessa. I had just woken up, threw on whatever clothes I could find, and definitely was not planning on meeting the love of my life that day. After shopping, my mom suggested we go look at cars, which I will never say no to because I have always wanted a Scat Pack. We ended up driving around dealerships on 52nd Street and over to 8th Street. As we were about to leave one lot, a man came outside waving us down. I told my mom to just stop because I felt bad. The second he walked up to the window, I was done for. He was so handsome, and I instantly loved his voice. He convinced us to come inside and check for any Scat Packs, and I was trying so hard to play it cool and not let him know I was into him. Meanwhile, he probably thought I was the most stubborn person ever and even said something like, yeah this girl is not going to buy anything. When we left, he handed me his card, and I could not stop thinking about texting him. I kept going back and forth, wondering if he had a girlfriend. I even told my mom there was no ring on his finger. I posted on my private Snapchat story asking if I should text him, and by the time we got back to Kermit, I went to my best friend Grace’s house. We came up with a message, but I was way too nervous to send it, so shoutout to Grace for hitting send for me.Later, while I was out walking with friends, I kept checking my phone to see if he had responded. When he finally did, I was jumping up and down and even dropped my phone. My message said, “Hey, this is Hailey from earlier. I originally came in about the car, but I will be honest, I am also interested in you. I hope that is not too forward. Do you have a girlfriend?” And his response was, “Hey Hailey, I have got to say, you caught me a little off guard - in a good way. I am not seeing anyone, and I would definitely be interested in getting to know you beyond just talking cars. Bold looks good on you.” And now we are here, building a wedding website and getting ready to spend forever together.
