We did the thing your're not supposed to do... get involved with a co-worker! In our defense we were friends for a couple of years before introducing the idea of dating. We were part of the same friend group and always found ourselves paired up at the end of the night sharing stories or laughing uncontrollably (most likely at Cody's expense). Our friendship blossomed into a relationship and we did our best to keep it professional at the office... "best" is a keyword here. To this day our friends still joke about how blatant our relationship was! We quickly learned that while we came from completely different walks of life, with so many different characteristics, we were the puzzle piece that each other needed.
Every year we visit Andersen's Sunflower farm in Cumming. It's a tradition that's become very close to our hearts. The sunflowers bloom for about two weeks out of the year, so catching them early in the season is key. Cody (with the help of his wonderful sister) planned for "family pictures" the day before the farm was scheduled to open. When we arrived, our family wasn't in sight, but the photographer suggested we do our session beforehand. We decided to take pictures in a clearing in the middle of the farm. To my surprise, Cody immediately got down on one knee and proposed, to which I said "Yes!" We are so excited to share this next chapter with you! XO
