Caleb and I met in 5th and 6th grade at Covenant Academy. We instantly connected through family ties, dinners, school activities, band, PE classes, etc. Caleb would always hold the doors for me anytime we were both in the hall and shoot me the cutest wink. He took Motlow college classes in the computer lab and I would pay him a visit most mornings.. that is if I wasn't stopped by the principal or Mrs. Tina's jingling keys coming down the hall and told to get back to class now! Everyone knew we liked each other, even though dating had to wait until 16. I admired his kindness and respectfulness from such a young age. We would facetime every night until it was time for both families devotionals/prayers before bed. In 2018 his family held a square dance and he asked me to be his partner, and I couldn't have been more nervous or excited! Fast forward a couple years later had our very first date at the pumpkin patch. Since then, we have grown and matured into adults and have made some of the best memories together. The Lord has shown us favor-guiding us from our childhood friendship to a deep, enduring love!

November 10, 2024 Caleb and I were scheduled to take some fall pictures, and the photographer cancelled on us the night before. Last minute, (knowing Caleb would be proposing) our friends offered to take them for us on the nursery. Caleb agreed and when I got to their house, he wanted to go "look at some good photography spots" before they arrived to take our pictures. We drove a side by side up to some beautiful yellow trees and stood in a row. Caleb kept telling me to turn and look at the mountains and the colors. It was beautiful, he started sharing the sweetest words about me and the future we want together. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee and out came the photographers! We finished the night by taking more pictures all over the nursery and celebrating with the sweet treat that never lets us down- DQ Reese's Blizzards!!
