what is the dress code?
Answer
The dress code for this event is all black, black tie (excluding men's white dress shirts). We kindly ask that all guests adhere to this request for a cohesive and polished evening. Meaning women should wear floor length dresses or gowns and men should wear formal tuxedos or suits. Think MET GALA – have fun with it. We can't wait to see everyone dressed to the nines.

Answer
The Van Dusen Mansion shares parking accommodations with a neighboring property. For the easiest arrival, we recommend entering 122 W Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404 into your GPS. From there, you'll park and enjoy a short, clearly marked walk next door to The Van Dusen Mansion. Directional signage will guide you every step of the way, and you'll even catch your first glimpse of the mansion before making your way through the front gates. If you're planning to enjoy a cocktail (or two), we warmly encourage carpooling or ridesharing. Guests arriving by Uber, Lyft, or taxi can simply use The Van Dusen Mansion as their destination and will be dropped off directly at the front gates for the easiest arrival.

am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Answer
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you RSVP.

are children invited?
Answer
While we love your little ones, this is strictly an adults-only occasion with an exception to the children in the wedding.

what time should I arrive?
Answer
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time to find parking and your seat. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm, so plan to arrive by 5:00 pm. Once the ceremony begins, the entrance will not be granted until ceremony is completed.

what type of food will be served at your wedding?
Answer
We'll be serving a selection of wood-fired pizza from The Loop, as well as a variety of artisanal salads. Gluten free + Vegetarian options will be provided.

what if I did not rsvp on time?
Answer
If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided (August 1st), it will automatically be marked as 'Not Attending'. We will miss celebrating with you but it's imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!
