#StickingwithStanley Meet Cute-May 2010 Mathew went to a Cinco De Mayo party in the dorm with a group of friends. Spying Hailey, he made his way to her, introducing himself. They shook hands & she invited him to sit…to be out of the way. After hours of mayhem, Mathew walked Hailey back to her room, ever the gentleman. Getting to Know You-June 2010 Mathew & Hailey went into Boston with friends in search of adventure. Despite early nerves, they found themselves better off on their own, exploring the city, enjoying street performers, good food & conversation. He was looking for something serious. She smiled as he shared his coat. Meet the Parents-September 2010 Mathew invited Hailey to his birthday party/family reunion where she met his entire family. A young cousin was grossed out that Hailey could like a boy & that Mathew, yes, ‘like liked’ Hailey too. That cousin declared them boyfriend & girlfriend. The Big Move-July 2012 After graduation, they soon realized distance between them would get old fast. Hailey packed her bags & moved to the Cape, gaining a second family with Mathew’s parents nearby, welcoming her with open arms & loving support. Detour-September 2015 Not ready to commit, they made time for her to further her education at the BAC. This meant time away in Chelmsford and a move back to Western Mass. Finally, they were ready to move forward. On Hailey’s graduation day, Mathew took her dad aside & asked for his blessing. Trip of a Lifetime-July 2019 Mathew & Hailey took their very first vacation together to Nashville last year. There they explored the Grand Ole Opry Hotel & walked the beautiful indoor gardens. With this Ring-July 2019 Hailey was taking pictures of the stunning surroundings. As she turned for a new perspective, found Mathew down on bended knee.
