How We Met

Our journey began after Hailee started working with Jason's sister, Ally, in Monroe. Our paths crossed on multiple occasions when Hailee and Ally needed to blow off steam with their coworkers, and we started off as friends who often joked with and about one another. It seemed like a slow start for us to date, but eventually the friendship turned into something more. Neither of us really thought that us meeting in a bar with a bunch of coworkers would eventually turn into us getting married however, both of us would agree we wouldn't change it for the world!

The Proposal

Now if anyone knows Hailee you know that she does not like secrets and will figure it out one way or another, and if you know Jason you know that he does not do well keeping secrets. The original proposal was supposed to be in Mexico while we were on vacation, but Hailee figured that out MONTHS before the vacation :) (Oops!) Due to that plan being blown to pieces Jason decided to plan something a little bit more spontaneous. He devised a plan that he thought wouldn't be found out. Jason ended up receiving some assistance with the proposal from Hailee's father Manny, and Jason's sister Ally. Hailee, her parents, and Jason went to dinner downtown, but prior to the dinner they walked up the stairs in the rain to a grassy area near the Seattle Art Museum, where there were candles, flower pedals, and balloons stating "Will You Marry Me?" Jason got down on one knee and asked Hailee to marry him, which of course she said YES! and both strangers and our families clapped in celebration. It was the best way to start the evening, and then they were able to celebrate with some AMAZING food and company!
