After both graduating from the University of Delaware (but never crossing paths), Courtney moved to Manayunk for grad school and Josh moved back home from Hoboken for ankle surgery. Through mutual friends/blue hens, Josh watched a video Courtney posted on YouTube of her singing. Josh instantly knew he wanted to meet her, so he arranged a night out in Manayunk with her roommate (shout out Liz Burns). Long story short: Josh told her he loved her after seeing her on the internet, Courtney thought it was flattering and *not creepy whatsoever,* and they danced the night away.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Josh and Courtney decided to buy a house in Philadelphia in July 2020. Josh planned a “house-warming” party with their close friends in September, made a surprise champagne toast on the roof, and popped the question. Courtney was SHOCKED
