Utica has rich history and pride as well as signature food such as Chicken Riggies and Utica Greens, which you can find at any of the countless Italian restaurants in the city. Tomato Pie and Half Moons shouldn't be missed either. Utica Facts: -Home to the Saranac/ Utica Club Brewery. The 2nd oldest brewery in the country -Utica Club Beer was the first beer sold after prohibition -Utica Comets, an AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. -The Utica Memorial Auditorium where the Utica Comets play. The movie, Slapshot was filmed at 'The Aud', too! -Over 42 languages are spoken at the local public high school, Proctor -Renowned art museum, Munsun Williams Proctor Arts Institute that has a college extension of Pratt -Utica Zoo -Numerous, Italian, Lebanese, and other cultural bakeries and restaurants -45 minutes from the Adirondack mountains

Visit the 2nd oldest brewery in the United States. It is home to Saranac beer and the hometown favorite, Utica Club beer. Visit the giftshop, 1888 Tavern, and newly opened Biergarten. You might be able to catch a brewery tour if you're lucky! Fun fact: Marie was a tour guide at the brewery when she was in college!
