Hagen and Ashlyn had big passionate dreams for their future. Ashlyn had interned in the fashion industry in New York City the summer before her senior year. She fell in love with the city. After graduation she planned to pack her bags and make her move to the Big Apple. Hagen earned his real estate license when he was only eighteen years old. He worked during his college breaks learning the business. Hagen dreamed of moving to the big city of Los Angeles after graduation to continue working in the industry. Their plans and prayers would have placed them on two different coasts. Ashlyn and Hagen would soon learn that God had different plans for them. Unanswered prayers can sometimes be a true blessing. Ashlyn and Hagen returned after Christmas break to finish the last semester of their senior year at the University of Arkansas. They reunited with their friends, and as luck would have it, both friend groups made plans at the same restaurant. Ashlyn’s best friends, Jordan and Madison talked to some guys they knew at dinner. It just so happened that these guys were Hagen’s best friends. Ashlyn soon introduced herself to Hagen. They ended up talking for HOURS. They had so much in common. Their birthdays were even one day apart. They eventually looked up and realized that all their friends were gone. They walked outside to a thunderstorm they were not even aware was happening. They soon met up with their friends and went their separate ways. Both of them knew that they had met someone really special that night. Hagen later admitted to Ashlyn that he told one of his best friends that night, “I am going to marry that girl one day.” Hagen went to breakfast the next morning with his friend Claire. He could not stop talking about the girl he met the previous night. After he talked and talked, Claire told Hagen that she knew Ashlyn. Claire soon set the two up on their first date. THANK YOU CLAIRE!! The two of them have rarely been apart since that first date.

The rest is history. Their love story continued when Hagen surprised Ashlyn with a wedding proposal at their graduation party surrounded by friends and family. They were engaged and received their college degrees on the same day. Hagen was later thrilled to be offered a position as a Commercial Real Estate Broker in Kansas City. He knew that he did not want to make the move to KC without Ashlyn. The two happily married in a small civil service just before their big move. They share their new place in KC with their four-legged children Leroy and Norman. Hagen and Ashlyn Vogel cannot wait to celebrate their happy union with ALL their friends and family at their WEDDING CELEBRATION on November 14th, 2020! at Stone Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
