Our journey began long before our paths finally crossed, on February 7, 2023. Every step we took, every choice we made, unknowingly led us to this moment. It was the weekend before the Super Bowl, and Christina was out celebrating the Eagles with friends. TJ, who had just moved to Media a few months prior, happened to be there celebrating with his own crew. As fate would have it, one of TJ’s friends was also Christina’s neighbor! A few drinks in and the energy was high, thanks to a very fitting pep rally. At some point, Christina’s friend decided to take things up a notch—by dancing on the bar. Naturally, this was the perfect moment to ask TJ for a picture (because what better way to break the ice?). Seizing the opportunity, Christina casually suggested that her friend ask if TJ was single. Spoiler alert: he was! They hit it off instantly, bonding over Christina’s love for Akon—played on repeat all night—and her legendary DJ skills, which she later learned were the real key to TJ’s heart. On the walk home, TJ asked Christina to grab dinner that week. One date led to another, and before they knew it, two and a half years had flown by! TJ proposed to Christina in Media, standing on the lucky square out front of Fellini Café. As they step into their next chapter, they’ll keep strolling down State Street for bites to eat, catching basement music shows at Shere-E-Punjab, and enjoying Thursday happy hours with friends. Media is where their love story began, and it will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Timing truly is everything, and they feel incredibly lucky that the universe brought them together at just the right time.
