Where to start...food! We highly recommend Black Sheep Restaurant and Ferraro's Kitchen, most people do, so the play here is to get a reservation! Black Sheep has a great brunch if that's your jam (get it?). As for shops, there are plenty, some of our favorites are Ballard's Shoes, Dunworkin' (men's clothing), High Country Art Gallery, and OAR, otherwise known as the neatest men's nicknack store ever! A few other favs are Blue Ridge Adventure Wear and Blue Ridge Cotton Company. Specifically for the ladies, check out Neighborly, House of Threads, and Deerbird, and so many more. After all that shopping, or if you didn't get to check out any local wineries, not to fret, you can have a taste at the Doghobble Tasting Room, Cartecay Wine & Craft, or the Georgia Wine Depot, all right in downtown. If you're hanging around or want to take the 'show me' approach, book a ride (well in advance) on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway departing from downtown!
